From the highway, it was easy to see all of the smog and air pollution. I think that you can see a bit of that along the horizon of this photo.

On a side note, if you had previously subscribed to my RSS feed, please re-subscribe if you haven’t been receiving my feed. I just discovered that when I updated my software in August, the URL changed. Whoops!

Last weekend, we took a day trip up to Lake Arrowhead, and I, of course, strapped the camera to the car. There are some interesting photos, but a huge portion of them have incredible amounts of sun flare. Because I’m using a pinhole camera, if I’m shooting at all in the general direction of the sun, the flare overtakes most of the frame. I, also of course, regularly forget to take this into consideration. I generally hate the flare, but it doesn’t bother me quite as much here. You?

I think I’m getting closer and closer to an actual body of work with this collection. While the original idea was “commuting,” almost none of these photos were taken during my commute. (Probably a good thing, since both before and after work I’m generally half asleep as I’m driving.) Soon I will start ordering some prints and seeing if I can get some prints into some shows.

I doubt this image will make the cut, but I do like the trees.

Overall I really like the picture, and I think if it was actually in focus I wouldn’t like it as much, but the blur bugs me a little. Perhaps I’m just a tad crazy.
